Fazendas Reunidas Vale do Juliana (FRVJ), conceived as a rural community and organizational world, relies on a network of operational processes, people and teams that interact collaboratively to carry out specific responsibilities.

The support department at Vale do Juliana is named Pessoas e Organização (People and Organization) and it facilitates the peaceful cooperation of people and teams in their respective social and organizational realms. In addition, it promotes the survival, growth and development of businesses, by providing support in administrative, financial, fiscal and legal branches, with an emphasis on the legalization of work relations. People and Organization is responsible for defining, implementing and publicizing the company’s Administrative Rules and Work Policies which outline the standard protocol that guides different processes and assures that there is consistency with the good practices of business technology.

In this department, initiatives have been coordinated and implemented in order to advance the development of local community members as agents of their own destiny. In this way, community members are responsible for the quality of their environment, personal and family health, and education through labor and for labor. This can be achieved by developing an appreciation for an effective and common discipline, which as outlined by the Internal Rules, will transform Vale do Juliana into an “organized live environment” [1].

It is also responsible, directly or indirectly for identifying, selecting and continuously empowering permanent labor, temporary labor, service providers and family units, that form the basis of the Agriculture Partnership system adopted by the company.

In the area of health, the company highlights its partnership with the Igrapiuna Municipality because through the integration of the local health posts it can support the goals of the Family Health Program.

[1] Norberto Odebrecht definition: the Internal Rule is a means to promote discipline (which generates respect and strengthens trust), which is particularly important at Vale do Juliana, given its diversity of people, farming strategies, and businesses.
